GB excel at World Para Championships
GB Paralympic coach Tim Hazell praised his team's efforts after they scooped five medals at the World Archery Para Championships in Nymburk, Czech Republic.
The women's compound trio of Dani Brown, Melanie Clark and Philippa Britton romped past Spain 228 - 201 in the semi-finals before a 214 - 206 victory over Japan to strike gold on Friday.
The men's compound team also reached the final in Nymburk but had to settle for silver after just missing out against Korea, eventually losing 215 - 212.
Meanwhile, in the individual events on Saturday, Paralympic champion Brown defended her title against Paralympic bronze medallist Clark and Fred Stevens clinched bronze in the men's competition.
Russia's Olga Golegaeva spoiled the women's hopes of a clean sweep by defeating Philippa Britton in the third-place play-off but Hazell was delighted nonetheless.
"It's a fantastic achievement to win so many medals," said Hazell. "The women are worthy champions in the team event - they were phenomenal in both the semi and the final.
"The men are naturally disappointed about missing out on the gold but they came really close and should be proud of their silver.
"And I'm so happy for Dani, Mel and Fred who managed to carry over that form into the individual events."
