The 800m world champion's future is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks but her case is becoming more and more curious.

Athletics South Africa have hit out at officials from the IAAF, athletics' world governing body, for humiliating their athlete.

IAAF president Lamine Diack admitted during the recent World Championships in Berlin that the case should have been handled better.

But Daniels believes Athletics South Africa should share the blame - claiming Semenya was tricked into taking a gender BEFORE going to Berlin.

"The tests were not properly explained to her," he told a South African radio station.

"I'm so sorry for the part I played. Because of my negligence she went through all that.

"I'm not pointing fingers at anybody because I am part of the collective responsibility and blame.

"We did not handle Caster properly. The handling of the issue was atrocious."
