GB announce junior squad for Loughborough International

TEAM leader Martin Rush is convinced his Great Britain junior troops will stake their claim for the European Junior Championships at Sunday's Loughborough International.   

Last year's 100m World Junior Championships silver medallist Ashlee Nelson tops the bill for GB in the 200m while world junior 400m finalist Jordan McGrath gets his outdoor season under way.

In all 52 GB juniors will be targeting the match against Loughborough Students, GB Students, England, Scotland, and Wales as a springboard to the European juniors in Novi Sad, Serbia.

"With the European Junior Championships in a little over two months, the Loughborough International forms an important performance stepping stone for athletes aiming for the GB and NI team," said Rush.

"Coupled with next month's Mannheim international - this fixture will give an early indication as to where athletes are in their preparations.

"I wish them luck in what should be an exciting match on Sunday."
