The world and Olympic 400m champion was due to go head-to-head against rival Sanya Richards in her bid to find some form ahead of next month's World Championships in Berlin.

But she has withdrawn as a 'precautionary measure' after suffering a tight hamstring in the days following her victory at last weekend's Aviva UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

Ohuruogu has made no secret of the fact she was looking for more races after a disappointing sixth place finish at the Bislett Games in Oslo.

She will next race at the Aviva Grand Prix in London, when Jamaica's Novlene Williams-Mills, the world bronze medallist two years ago, will be her main rival.

Meanwhile, Simeon Williamson's attention-grabbing victory in Birmingham has earned him a prized invite to Paris - where he'll face world record holder Usain Bolt in the 100m.

400m hopeful Tim Benjamin will be looking to gain the attention of selectors after missing the recent World Trials while British team-mates Phillips Idowu, Andy Turner and Marilyn Okoro also compete in the French capital.
