IN REVIEW: European Team Championships 2010
BERGEN was just the latest stop on Dwain Chambers's very personal road to redemption - but it could be an important one.

IMPRESSIVE: Dwain Chambers wins the European Team Championships 100m title in 9.99 seconds in Bergen, his fastest time since returning from his drugs ban
France's Christophe Lemaitre has been the star of European sprinting this season but an athlete already dubbed ‘The Master' by his home press was shown up as an apprentice by Chambers, who dipped under ten seconds for the first time since his return from a two-year drugs ban.
In truth this was a mere hors d'œuvre to next month's European Championships - where the sprinters' head-to-head promises to be one of the highlights in Barcelona.
Head coach Charles van Commenee was delighted with display of his team, which exceeded his cautious pre-meeting target, and labeled Chambers's run the highlight of his weekend.
And the sprinter, once shunned by colleagues, was clearly enjoying being part of a team who upgraded last year's third to finish second behind runaway winners Russia - but ahead of arch-rivals and defending champions Germany.
