First she aims to follow up on her gold medal at the recent bobsleigh World Championships at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Then she aims to compete for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi seven months later.

The 26-year-old, who competed for Scotland in the long jump at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, has revealed she is back in training for the event.

"The Olympics are in February and the Commonwealths are much later than normal next year, so there is plenty of time to turn around between the sports," she said.

"It wouldn't be a problem going from one to the other, the difficult thing is I've got to qualify at some point.

"I'm not going to do a full summer season in 2009 but I'm discussing doing a few competitions with my coach to stay involved.

"If I peak in the summer, I don't want to lose too much conditioning base because the priority is obviously Vancouver.

"I've jumped further than the Scottish qualification standard for Delhi but I just need to do it again during the qualification period.

"Because it's in Delhi and it's expensive to send a team, they are looking for people to be consistent as well so I may have to jump it more than once."

Let's hope she doesn't rip out her pants long jumping like she did during the bobsleigh competition.
