Lewis-Francis wants to go to European indoors in Paris
COMMONWEALTH silver medallist Mark Lewis-Francis is on a potential collision course with UK Athletics head coach Charles van Commenee after declaring he wants to compete at the European Indoor Championships in March.

HAPPY CHAP: Mark Lewis-Francis stormed to 60m victory at the Aviva International Match in Glasgow
Lewis-Francis romped to 60m victory to get his 2011 season up and running at the Aviva International Match in Glasgow, clocking 6.66 seconds in Kelvin Hall.
The 28-year-old, who also won European 100m silver in Barcelona last summer, came home ahead of Trinidad & Tobago's Marc Burns, who has an Olympic relay silver medal to his name.
With the Commonwealth Games taking place in October last year - notably after the regular end of the athletics season - and with the World Championships scheduled for lat summer, van Commenee has expressed fears of burn out.
As a result he reportedly asked athletes to choose between the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the European Indoor Championships in Paris in early March - but Lewis-Francis sees no reason why he can't do both.
"I definitely want to go [to Paris], it's a championship and I always want to go," said Lewis-Francis.
"This was my first race of the season so I'm just happy with the way it went - I'm over the moon.
"I've had a bad time of injuries but now I'm competing with some of the best of the moment. I'm just on cloud nine all the time at the moment.
"I'm not over-confident but I'm getting there, slowly but surely."
Meanwhile, world indoor silver medallist Jenny Meadows racked up her third victory at Kelvin Hall, storming to an 800m win in 2:01.07 minutes as Marilyn Okoro had to settle for third.
"This isn't the quickest track here so I'm really pleased with my time," said Meadows, who did not go to Delhi 2010 and as a result has every intention of competing in Paris.
"I think I showed that with more competition and a quicker track I could go a lot quicker.
"I had a few game plans but I was pleased to lead from the front and control the race.
"Now I just can't wait for the next few weeks and I'll be really disappointed if I don't manage to get onto the podium in Paris."
And having stormed to 60m hurdles victory earlier in the day, Great Britain team captain Jessica Ennis finished third in the long jump with a best effort of 6.38m.
