The British number ones kicked off their campaign with a comfortable victory over Valiyaveetil Diju and Jwala Gutta on Wednesday but found the going tougher on Thursday against Thailand's Songphon Anugritayawon and Kunchala Voravichitchaikul.
But after losing a tight first game, Kellogg and Clark fought back to win 18-21, 21-16, 21-12 in 41 minutes leaving them with one foot in the semi-finals.
And the Brits will be favourites to progress, as Group B winners, after Friday's Indonesian opponents Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Vita Marissa lost their second match to Diju and Gutta in straight games.
Meanwhile Clark and men's doubles partner Nathan Robertson lost their second match of the tournament to Denmark's Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe, eventually going down 21-15, 18-21, 21-13.
British women's doubles pairing, Jenny Wallwork and Gabby White, were also edged out in their second match, losing 21-17, 21-13 to Canada's Charmaine Reid and Germany's Nicole Grether.
