The England pair went out 22-20, 21-12 to Indonesia's Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Vita Marissa.

Blair and White put up a fighting display against the third seeds, particularly in the opening game when they pulled back from 11-3 down to draw level at 12-12 before holding a game point at 20-19.

However, the Indonesians survived the English duo's mini-revival and took three points in a row to snatch the first game.

That took the wind out of Blair and White's sails and the Indonesian duo took control and were never behind in the second game of a match lasting 29 minutes.

Now Blair and White must try to take their Singapore form into next week's Djarum Indonesia Open in Jakarta.
