OLYMPIC silver medallist Nathan Robertson will bid for gold on two fronts at October's Commonwealth Games as part of ten-strong England squad heading to Delhi.

A year ago, England withdrew from the World Badminton Championships in the Indian city of Hyderabad citing security fears. However, 12 months on and they show no signs of reluctance to compete in Delhi.

Robertson, who won mixed doubles gold with Gail Emms at Melbourne 2006, will team up with Jenny Wallwork as he embarks on the defence of his title.

He teamed up with Wallwork in October 2008 but the duo have already captured European bronze as well as the national title - accomplishments that have seen them break into the world's top 15.

Robertson will also team up with Anthony Clark, with whom he won European silver men's doubles as well as England's first Super Series title at the Singapore Open last year.

Both men were part of England's gold medal winning team at Manchester 2002 and Clark won men's doubles bronze in 2006 with Robert Blair.

Clark currently has 97 England caps to his name and will more than likely join Robertson in triple figures in Delhi.

Robertson said: "I am delighted again to be selected to go the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

"Winning gold in Melbourne was one of the highlights of my career so far and I am looking forward to trying to defend my mixed title with new partner Jenny Wallwork.

"I also have a great chance in the men's doubles with Anthony Clark and he should also win his 100th cap during the team competition.

"We played together on my 100th cap last year and I very much hope we can play together again on his 100th appearance, which is always a very special moment for any player."
