NEWCASTLE Eagles are flying high at the top of the BBL Championship following a confident away win over London Capital.

With nearest rivals Everton Tigers and Scottish Rocks losing, Eagles cruised past basement side London 109-93 - Trey Moore their top scorer with 25 points.

Gary Stronach's Plymouth Raiders move into third with a 98-91 over Worcester Wolves while Leicester Riders, inspired by Bradd Wierzbicki's game high 28 points, maintained their play-off hopes with a 93-83 win over former frontrunners Rocks.

Worthing Thunder slipped out of the play-off places after losing 91-107 at home against sixth placed Guildford Heat.
