Top Marks for Chez as Jets fly up BBL Championship
CHESHIRE Jets maintained their recent form with a 98-74 away win over Worthing Thunder in the BBL Championship.
Chez Marks top scored as the Jets moved to fourth in the table with their fourth consecutive win in all competitions.
They sprung into an early lead and never looked back with Marks banking 15 of his 20 points during the first half.
Leicester Riders moved above visitors Guildford Heat and into fifth position with a one-sided 95-77 victory.
The hosts were trailing by 15 points at half-time but stunned Heat with a brilliant second half show, outscoring their rivals by 60-27.
Jason Johnson and Tack Minor were the catalyst for the comeback, leading the game scorers with 26 points each.
Milton Keynes Lions, who beat Sheffield Sharks 24 hours earlier, stretched their winning run to six with a narrow 62-57 away win over Essex Pirates.
Once again EJ Harrison was their top scorer but coach Vince Macaulay preferred to pay tribute to his defence.
"The Pirates put up a great effort tonight and gave us a real run for our money. We couldn't buy a basket and it was our defence that won us through," he said.
