EVERTON Tigers continue to challenge on all fronts as they maintained their 100 percent BBL Trophy record with an 89-75 home win over Leicester Riders.

With new signing Flinder Boyd in their line-up the Riders led at home time, but Tigers were devastating in the third quarter as they turned a six point deficit into a 14 point lead to take the match away from the visitors.

Newcastle Eagles are on top of BBL Trophy group one after an excellent fourth quarter performance saw them past northern rivals Scottish Rocks 105-89.

Trey Moore scored the final 10 points of the match, and had 14 of his game high 35 points, in the final period, to lead the Eagles to a hard fought victory.

Charles Smith chipped in with 24 for Eagles while player-coach Sterling Davis led Rocks with 19.

Guildford Heat missed the chance to wrap the match up in regulation from the free throw line but made no mistake in overtime to win on the road at Marshall MK Lions 94-104.

With the scores level at 84-84 Michael Martin was unsuccessful with two free throws. However, Martin was deadly in the extra period notching six points as Heat outscored their hosts 20-10.
