LEICESTER Riders all but secured their play-off place with a comfortable win home over Worthing Thunder.

Thunder were quick off the mark - thanks to a run of three-pointers from Ryan Patton.

But Leicester hit back - securing a 83-64 victory thanks to some motivating words from coach Rob Paternostro and scoring from deadline day signing Duane James, Tommy Swanson and Barry Lamble.

Elsewhere, basement side London Capital - without a win in weeks - secured only their second league victory of the season in their final home match.

Worcester Wolves' play-off hopes may have been severely dented by their narrow 84-82 defeat - with Ibrahim Gariba scoring a game high 19 points for the Londoners.
