After claiming her first ever World Cup win in the 7.5km sprint on Saturday, the Belarusian proved it was no fluke, by finishing more than 12 seconds ahead of World Cup leader Magdalena Neuner.
The 23-year-old has captured four World Cup bronzes and one silver medal over the past two seasons but has finally topped the podium just weeks after winning bronze at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in the women's 15km individual event.
Double Olympic champion Neuner moved her way up from starting fifth to lead the race at the half way mark and looked favourite to secure yet another World Cup win.
But it was Domracheva who hit five out of five in the final shoot and she held on to take only her second World Cup win of her career in a time of 31:32.6 minutes to move her up to seventh in the overall standings.
Germany's Simone Hauswald claimed the bronze medal, finishing 18.1 seconds behind Domracheva, to keep up the pressure on the athletes at the top of the standings sitting third with 182 points.
Neuner extended her lead over Germany's Andrea Henkel, who finished eighth, to 41 points as she sits top on 235 points with one World Cup event remaining this season in Oslo.
Meanwhile, Kati Wilhelm finished sixth after announcing she would retire at the end of the season following the 33-year-old's disappointing performance in Vancouver where she won only a relay bronze.
