KARL Angerer delighted his hometown fans with his second four-man win of the World Cup bobsleigh season in Köenigssee.

The German driver was in fourth place after the first run, just under two tenths slower than team-mate and three-time Winter Olympic champion Andre Lange in Germany I.

However, he produced a super-fast second attempt to follow up on his victory in Igls last November.

Edwin van Calker guided the Netherlands to second place - their first ever World Cup podium while Lange dead-heated for third with Latvia's Janis Minins.

Russia's Alexsandr Zubkov finished sixth but still maintained his Intersport World Cup lead with 821 points.

Meanwhile, Great Britain's Lee Johnston had a nightmare second run to finish 14th - he had been tenth quickest at the first attempt.
