Zubkov wins bobsleigh World Cup in St Moritz
WORLD Cup leader Alexsandr Zubkov increased his advantage over his nearest rivals with a second four-man World Cup bobsleigh win of the season in St Moritz.
Zubkov mastered the natural Olympia bobrun track from top to bottom - his team of Roman Oreshnikov, Dmitry Trunenkov, and Dmitry Stepushkin giving the Russian a record push-start.
And the driver hammered home that advantage as Germany's Karl Angerer settled for silver and Switzerland's Beat Hefti bronze in a race which also doubled as this year's European Championships.
Great Britain's Lee Johnston - alongside brother Karl, Julien Hughes-John and Dan Money - could only finish 15th.
Switzerland's Sabina Hafner and Hanne Schenk won the women's bobsleigh title at the World junior championships in Germany while Great Britain's Paula Walker and Paula Hendriks came eighth.
Great Britain's Dominic Parsons just missed out on the medals in the junior men's skeleton, when he finished fourth.
