WORLD BOXING: Jonas and Adams book their Olympic selections
GREAT Britain's Natasha Jonas and Nicola Adams have both qualified for the London 2012 Olympics - where they will take part in the historic first-ever women's boxing competition.
Jonas and Adams won their quarter-finals at the World Championships to achieve the selection standard and will now look for further wins to solidify their podium potential this summer.
Lightweight Jonas beat Norway's Ingrid Egner 23-9 in Qinhuangdao to set-up a semi-final with Russia's Sofya Ochigava.
Flyweight Adams edged out Indian star Mary Kom Hmangte, a five-time world champion at light flyweight, 13-11. With bronze secure she will now face Russia's Elena Savelyeva for a place in the final
British middleweight Savannah Marshall is one win from qualifying for London and will face China's Jinzi Li in the last eight.
