IAIN Weaver is adamant he was robbed at the Commonwealth Games - but the bantamweight isn't about to let his Indian heartache scupper his 2012 dream.

Weaver was billed as one of the pre-tournament favourites to bring back the gold medal from the sub-continent having claimed European Championship and Commonwealth Feds silver earlier in 2010.

However the pre-tournament hype proved to be a false dawn for Weaver in Delhi as - impeded by some less than favourable judging - he lost out in the quarter-finals to local favourite Akhil Kumar.

But despite his Games experience leaving a sour taste in the mouth Weaver is adamant history won't repeat itself when he is the fighter on home soil in 2012.

"The judging in Delhi was a joke to be fair," said Weaver.  "But I know I boxed as well as I could in that quarter-final and so I know I couldn't have done anything more but with the big Indian crowd it was just impossible.

"But I am definitely not going to worry about that now. I am just going to move on and get on with my training and my next fights and keep building towards London 2012.

"With a bit of luck it will be different when it comes around to London and it'll be me that has the big home crowd shouting for me.

"I am not going to worry about what happened at the Commonwealths because I just need to move on from it now and concentrate on getting myself in the best shape I can be for the world championships next year and then on to London."

Weaver has wasted no time getting back in the gym on his return from the sub-continent as he gears up for the Great Britain Amateur Boxing Championship in Liverpool next month.

And the 20-year-old is adamant the Commonwealth Games nightmare is already ancient history in the Weaver household.

"I am not thinking about the Commonwealths anymore," Weaver added.  "I am working towards the event in Liverpool next month and next year's World Championships.

"They are out in Azerbaijan and are where we qualify for London 2012.  That is what I am working towards now and I am not worrying about the Commonwealths at all."
