GB's Cawthorn leaves World Championships empty-handed
RACHEL Cawthorn just missed out on the medals at the Sprint Racing World Championships in Nova Scotia, Canada as she finished an agonising fourth in the kayak singles final on Sunday.

EMPTY-HANDED: Rachel Cawthorn, along with the rest of Team GB, forced to leave World Championships without any medals
The 21-year old cane fifth as part of a four-woman crew on Saturday but was even closer in the singles - just 0.6 seconds off the podium.
Instead Italy's Josefa Idem claim bronze ahead of Cawthorn, reversing the result from the European Championships earlier in the season.
Britain's four-man kayak had become the first British crew to reach a world final in their class but they also missed out on a medal, eventually running out seventh on Saturday.
Belarus were crowned champions with the British quartet of Ben Farrell, Stuart Hastings, Paul Wycherley and Andy Daniels three seconds behind in seventh.
The British pair of Lucy Wainwright and Lani Belcher also made Sunday's final in the kayak double but could only manage an eighth place behind winners Hungary.
In the absence of Olympic kayaking champion Tim Brabants, GB leave Canada empty-handed but with Cawthorn and the men's four reaching the A finals, they will surely take encouragement from the performances of the young squad.
