EVE Muirhead will face Sweden's Stina Viktorsson in the gold medal match at the European Curling Championships in Champery.

Viktorsson's Swedish rink were 7-5 winners over Russia in their semi-final and will look for revenge following their 9-7 defeat to Muirhead's Scotland in the round-robin stage.

"It feels fantastic, and we're really looking forward to the final now," said Viktorsson.

"We're playing well and I always thought we were going to win this match. Scotland are clearly very confident but we will do our best."

Elsewhere, youthful Danish skip Rasmus Stjerne was a 9-7 winner over Switzerland's Christof Schwaller in the men's semi-final.

He will now face on Olympic and world silver medallists Norway, skipped by Thomas Ulsrud, in the final.
