Skip Michael McCreadie was smarting after opening day defeats to Canada and Norway but his rink - Tom Killin, Angela Malone, Aileen Neilson, Jim Sellar - brushed aside Switzerland 10-2.
"Yesterday was a tough day and it could have gone either way but now we're back on track", said Killin.
"We initially found the ice was really slow and heavy but today's ice was much slicker, and that suited us better.
Elsewhere, hot medal favourites Canada were pushed the distance by Norway in a tense group match that many believe could be the final.
Skip Jim Armstrong waited until the final stone of the match before securing the 6-5 victory.
