VICTORIA Pendleton might be British Cycling's pin-up girl but as we've all seen in Delhi, the Aussies are fighting fire with fire - and Rochelle Gilmore is turning up the heat.

Gilmore captured road race victory with a face-full of dust after a gruelling stint in the midday Delhi sun culminated in a sprint finish - but she sure scrubs up well.

And just like Pendleton, she also enjoys a spot of modelling on the side of her pro cycling career.

It's not as fun as cycling, according to the 29-year-old from New South Wales, but it's the perfect way to make a quick buck.

"I have made more money acting and modelling in six weeks than I could make in my first year as a professional cyclist," says Gilmore. "Even though I did not enjoy some of the work, it was much easier money than cycling!"

But Gilmore is worried that she'll judged negatively by it, insisting she doesn't like the way that some people respond to her modelling career.

Don't worry Rochelle, no-one thinks you're just a pretty face!
