ROB Hayles and Peter Kennaugh won silver in the Madison race at the World Cup in Beijing.

The veteran Hayles, 35, and his team-mate, 16 years his junior, finished behind Australians Glenn O'Shea and Leigh Howard.

Olympic bronze medallist Chris Newton added a silver in the scratch race to the gold he won in the Points race

Great Britain currently sit second in the overall World Cup rankings - 46 points behind Germany.

However, many of the star names who dominated the Olympics in Beijing, including Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton, will return for the final World Cup event of the season in Copenhagen.
