HELEN and Carol Galashan have maintained Great Britain's hot streak at the European Championships, by collecting 10m synchro bronze in Turin.

The Scottish twins, who were international gymnasts at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, scooped 291.96 points to finish third, behind German double act Nora Subschinski and Josephine Möller.

The Galashan sisters, who picked up the 2009 British crown in February, were fourth after the morning semi-final but returned in the afternoon to leap onto the podium.

They have collected Great Britain's second medal of the competition after Brooke Graddon also picked up bronze in yesterday's 10m individual competition.

The gold medal was won by Russia's Natalia Goncharova and Yulia Koltunova after they picked up 315.78 points.

In the men's 3m Springboard Britain's Callum Johnstone and Charles Calvert finished in 21st and 254th place respectively.

Johnstone scored a total of 317.45 points while Calvert finished with 289.70 points.
