The duo, who won bronze in previous events in Qatar and Sheffield, now face an anxious wait to see if they won the overall $10,000 top prize.

Their winning score of 418.65 reflected a consistent series of dives while American Olympic finalists, Jevon Tarantino and Chris Colwill, were 20 points behind in second.

Mexico's Luis Huerta and Yahel Castillo completed the podium while German Olympic silver medallists Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein finished a disappointing of fourth.
