The 25-year-old defeated Israel's Tomer Or 15-6 in the final to move up to 21st in the overall rankings for the season.

The 2006 European Championship silver medallist was in imperious form and led a strong British contingent in Denmark with Laurence Halsted, Jamie Kenber and James Beevers all finishing in the top 16.

Halsted has now moved up to 25th in the overall rankings while GB's premier sabre fencer Alex McConnell achieved a top 16 finish in the sabre World Cup in Istanbul.
