Usain Bolt backs Madrid's 2016 bid
JAMAICAN sprint king Usain Bolt is keeping his fingers crossed Madrid wins the race to host the 2016 Summer Olympics.

WORLD AT HIS FEET: Usain Bolt enjoys his trip to the Bernabeu to watch Real Madrid in action
The 23-year-old triple world and Olympic champion came face to face with Cristiano Ronaldo, the most expensive footballer in history, last weekend as he was a VIP guest at Real Madrid's first league game of the season against Deportivo La Coruna.
The Spanish giants have given their full backing to the 2016 bid while the proposed Olympic stadium is set to be the new home of cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid.
And Bolt, who watched Real Madrid run out 3-2 winners on Saturday, believes there would be no better place to stage the 2016 Games.
"After the welcome I have had, I would really love to run here," he said. "This weather is incredible. I wish the 2016 Olympics are held here.
"Surely they'll do a great job. The city has thrown itself into the bid and it has so many facilities."
The International Olympic Committee's Evaluation Commission publishes its report on the four candidate cities - Tokyo, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Chicago - on Wednesday, exactly a month before the host city is announced.
And Ronaldo, who moved to Real Madrid over the summer for a world record transfer fee of £80million, is also throwing his support behind the bid.
He added: "I will pray for Madrid to host the Olympics in 2016 because I'd love to watch live all athletics events here."
