Adiyiah, on the books of Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK, took his tally to eight for the competition as the Black Satellites edged a thrilling semi-final 3-2 in Cairo.
The 20-year-old sharpshooter was at his clinical best and put his side two to the good at the half time interval but strikes from Hungarian substitutes Marko Futacs and Adam Balajti, either side of a thunderous Abeiku Quansah strike ensured for a nail-biting finish.
Adiyiah continued from where he left off against Korea and broke the deadlock after just ten minutes, bundling Andre Ayew's shot over the line before Adam Pressinger had the chance to clear.
And Adiyiah made it two just after the half-hour mark, rising highest to nod home Samuel Inkoom's cross from the right.
At this stage, Ghana were cruising towards the final, and both Adiyiah and strike partner Ransford Osei had chances to add to their tournament tally of 12, only for some inaccurate finishing and excellent goalkeeping from Peter Gulasci to keep the deficit to two.
And the African outfit were cantering home in the second half until Hungary coach Sandor Egervar made a crucial intervention by introducing Futacs with 20 minutes to go.
Some fine work down the right saw the ball pulled back to the Werder Bremen forward, who kept his composure to tuck the ball home.
Hungary continued to press forward and defender Janos Szabo had the simplest of headers from just three yards, only to miss the target.
And that miss was to prove costly as just minutes later, Adiyiah fed Quansah on the right-hand corner of the penalty area and he unleashed an unstoppable drive that crashed in off the underside of the crossbar.
But Hungary were not finished yet and when Balajti stabbed home with six minutes remaining, the Ghanaian defence found themselves under a barrage of long balls.
They held firm however and there was still time for Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu to thump the crossbar from all off 35 yards before the referee called time to ensure Ghana march on to Friday's final where they will meet either Brazil or Costa Rica.
