David captures fifth World Cup of season
FRANCE'S Ophelie David has bounced back from World Championship disappointment to claim her fifth ski cross World Cup title of the season in Grindelwald.
The 2007 world champion could only finish seventh last weekend in Inawashiro, but she was back to her best in Switzerland to claim victory ahead of compatriot Marion Josserand.
Switzerland's Sanna Luedi and Emilie Serain delighted the home crowd with third and fourth-places finishes, respectively.
David has now put the finishing touches to the overall ski cross crown and has edged in front of moguls ace Hannah Kearney of the USA in the overall freestyle crown.
The duo both have 68 points but David's 680 points in the ski cross event, to Kearney's 610 in the moguls, hands her the advantage.

The men's event however was cancelled due to bad weather.
"The last two days the weather has been really bad," said the USA ski cross head coach Tyler Shepherd. "We got a late start and since we cancelled the qualifications the last two days we were attempting to do everything today."
"We got about half way through the qualification and then there were just a number of crashes and it just was an unsafe environment. We thought it was best to not risk further injuries and cancel the race."
