Jones finished nearly ten points clear of silver medallist Laura Halford while her Birmingham club-mate Mimi Cesar completed the podium.

In addition, Jones was top scorer on every piece of apparatus, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.

"I’ve put a lot of hard training in and its great to see it paying off, my routines were very solid and I’m gaining confidence all the time," said Jones.

"The next event for me is the Olympic Games which is an unbelievable thought; I can’t wait to get my name officially confirmed on Wednesday.

"I can’t even imagine what it is going to be like at the Games, the whole atmosphere is going to be crazy for the Team GB athletes and the whole of Britain is going to be so excited.”
