Danny Kerry's side are unbeaten in Rosario and their 2-1 win over South Africa, coupled with Korea's 2-2 draw with Spain, means they can't be caught for a qualifying place.
It's the first time in 20 years that England have reached the last four and it follows their impressive bronze medal in the recent Champions Trophy in Nottingham.
Two decades ago they were beaten by Holland in Sydney and went on to finish fourth after losing a play-off to Korea 3-2.
Who England meet in the semi finals is dependent on where they finish in Pool B after Monday's clash with hosts and tournament favourites Argentina.
But it will certainly be one of three sides - the Netherlands, Germany or Australia - all of whom are placed above England in the International Hockey Federation's world rankings.
Kerry's side will certainly have confidence for their clash with Las Leonas, following their victory over the world number two side in Nottingham earlier this year.
