On Sunday, Sweden opened their account with a comfortable 3-0 win over Switzerland and while they do not have the firepower of Canada, their next opponents on Wednesday, they eased their way to back-to-back wins.
Winberg got the ball rolling for Slovakia, who, after their 18-0 drubbing at the hands of Canada, were sluggish at the outset.
But just four minutes later Slovakia were back on level terms when Anna Dzurnakova netted her side's first goal of the tournament.
However, the sides were not level for long and Winberg smashed home her second on 13 minutes, only for Slovakia to pull level once again through Nicol Cupkova.
Jenni Asserholt restored Sweden's lead again before the first period was over, as ill-discipline crept into Slovakia's game.
And Winberg's third, midway through the second period ended Slovakia's resistance before Elin Holmlov and another from Winberg wrapped up proceedings.
