PHIL Hall and Jason Hewitt scored as Great Britain maintained their unbeaten start to the ice hockey World Championships in Ljubljana with a 2-1 win over South Korea.

Hall pounced on the puck after Ben O'Connor's slap shot had been partially saved in the 27th minute.

But Dong Hwan Song equalised for the newly-promoted Koreans in the Division One Group B clash and after Paul Thompson's team killed three minor penalties in the final period, Hewitt fired into the top corner with just over ten minutes remaining.

Thompson's men - who beat Croatia 4-1 in their tournament opener - are next in action against the hosts on Tuesday before further games against Hungary and Poland.
