CARDIFF Devils brought their losing streak to an end and compounded Basingstoke Bison's misery as Derek Campbell netted twice for the Welsh outfit.

The Devils, on the back of a three-game losing streak, were slow out of the blocks but grew in confidence as this game wore on while the Bison crashed to their sixth straight loss on the spin.

The Devils found themselves two goals to the good on the half-hour mark with Wes Jarvis and Campbell notching in quick succession.

It was all too easy for the hosts as Bison could only muster two shots on the Devils goal.

Greg Chambers gave the visitors hope with nine minutes on the clock but Phil Hill struck his 11th of the season late on before Campbell slotted his second into an unguarded net at the death.
