Winter Olympics Vancouver 2010US hockey coach Ron Wilson believes his team are getting better and better - and he doesn't care who they play in the Olympic men's hockey final this Sunday.

A first period blitz - in which the US netted six goals without response - steered Wilson's team into their second final in eight years.

They will now face either Canada or Slovakia, with the smart money being on a clash against the hosts, who famously beat the US when they staged the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City.

"I hope we haven't peaked two days too early," said Wilson, following the 6-1 victory, with two-goal star Patrick Kane highlighted as the key man.

"We are getting better with every single game.

"I'm very proud of this team. We came into the game ready to go on the attack and force Finland into making mistakes.

"We created some turnovers and drew some penalties. Our defence did an incredible job, we couldn't have asked for a better start and it got our bench all juiced up.

"Our team has been focused from the word go and we've got three or four quality leaders and I haven't seen any of our guys blink yet."
