The company has won contracts to build six schools, four in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, and two in Greenwich, South East London.
The Greenwich contract will see Balfour Beatty construct a 1,950-pupil secondary school, Thomas Tallis, which will include a gymnasium designed for use by British Gymnastics and the British Judo Association. It will also be recognised as a 2012 Olympic training base.
"We are delighted to have been selected to help deliver these contracts in Greenwich and North Lanarkshire which will further build on our extensive experience in the education sector," said Balfour Beatty chief executive Ian Tyler.
The contract in Greenwich is worth £100m while Balfour Beatty's appointment as one of three contractors to the North Lanarkshire Council Schools and Centres 21 Framework will see it collect £91m.
