OLYMPICS LONDON 2012: Games day nine in pictures

JESSICA Ennis led the heptathlon pack in day one of the London 2012 athletics campaign, after recording two personal bests along the way.

In day two, the Great Britain poster girl will fight for gold in three more events and could set a new world record if she continues at her current pace.

Double-world medallist Mo Farah will compete in his weaker event as he hunts a podium finish in the men's 10,000 metres and triple-Olympic champion Usain Bolt looks to banish any hopes of his opposition storming to the 100m title.
