TOM Daley's journey to London 2012 reaches its final destination, as he begins the preliminary rounds of the 10m platform diving.

Elsewhere Sarah Stevenson will hope to end a nightmare year with a fairytale ending in the -67kg taekwondo, while Lutalo Muhammad will also be looking to justify his controversial selection ahead of Aaron Cook in the -80kg weight category.
There will be a bronze medal on offer the women's hockey as well as Danny Kerry's team hope to salvage something from their 2-1 semi-final defeat to Argentina.
09.37: CANOE SPRINT - Ed McKeever races in the men's K1 200m heats, followed by Richard Jefferies in the C1 200m heats.
In action in the women's equivalent race is Jess Walker in the K1 200m heats and later on the Great Britain's men take to the water for their K2 200m heat.
10.30 TAEKWONDO - Sarah Stevenson will have to defeat USA's Paige McPherson to progress past the Women's -67kg preliminary round.
For Great Britain's men, Lutalo Muhammad is in action against Farkhod Negmatov in the -80kg preliminary round.
12.00 RHYTHMIC GYMNASTIC S - Francesca Jones competes in rotation three on the second day of the individual qualification round, followed by rotation four at 13.18.
12.00 SWIMMING - Daniel Fogg goes for gold in the men's 10km marathon; can he win a medal after Keri-Anne Payne's disappointing fourth place?
13.00 SAILING - Hannah Mills and Saskia Clark feature for Great Britain's women in the 470 medal race and will be hoping to take a medal as they currently sit joint top of the overall standings with New Zealand.
And after the cancellations from Thursday, Britain's men's 470 will race for gold in their medal race.
14.15 BOXING - Luke Campbell takes to the ring for his Bantam semi-final against Japan's Satoshi Shimizu, knowing that a bronze medal is guaranteed but hoping to reach the final and go at least one better.
Anthony Ogogo then boxes at 15.00 in his middleweight semi-final against Esquiva Falcao Florentino of Brazil as he too looks to secure a silver or gold medal.
14.50 RHYTHMIC GYMNASTIC S - Team GB compete in the group all-round qualification rotation two, after completing rotation one on Thursday.
15.00 BMX CYCLING - Shanaze Reade represents Great Britain in the women's semi-final and will have three runs to try to qualify in the top four from her heat for the final.
Liam Phillips will do the same in the men's semi-finals, having made a remarkable comeback from a broken collarbone in May.
15.30 HOCKEY - After losing 2-1 to Argentina in their semi-final, Great Britain's women face New Zealand in a bronze medal match as they look leave the Games with Britain's first hockey medal for 20 years.
19.00 DIVING - Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield compete against each other this time in the men's 10m platform preliminary round.
19.00 ATHLETICS - Steven Lewis competes for gold in the men's pole vault final and Sophie Hitchon aims to add to Great Britain's medal tally in the women's hammer throw final.
Great Britain's women will hope to follow the men into a 4x400m relay final when they run in their round one heat, and the men are in action in the 4x100m relay round one heat.
In the women's 5000m final, Julia Bleasdale and Jo Pavey represent Great Britain before Lisa Dobriskey and Laura Weightman take part in the 1500m final.
21.30 BOXING - Freddie Evans faces top seed Taras Shelestyuk of the Ukraine in his welter semi-final bout before Anthony Joshua fights Ivan Dychko in the super-weight semi-final for a place in the last round.
