Norway complete impressive one-two in men's relay
NORWAY showcased their cross country dominance with an impressive one-two in the men's World Cup 4x10km relay in Lahti.
Norway II crossed the line first in a time of 1:27.44 hours with Norway I just 0.2 of a second behind.
Kristian Rennemo led his side of Simen Oestensen, Roger Djupvik and Sjur Roethe home to victory in Finland.
In a close finish Rennemo was almost pipped by compatriot Tord Asle Gjerdalen but Norway I had to settle for silver ahead of Germany, who took bronze.
At the half-way stage the winning team were down in seventh place, but Roethe made up half a minute on the leaders in a storming third leg to put his team into medal contention.
Tim Tscharnke led Germany home in third, while Olympic champions Sweden finished in a disappointing ninth.
The win gave Norway their third gold of the weekend, following Marit Bjoergen's victory in Saturday's double pursuit and the Norwegian women's success in the 4x5km relay.
