"My biggest fear was to do four years hard training then come here and only do one race. I tried really hard not to focus on that but it was hard," she said.

"This is not my main event, so it's great for me to progress and prove that I'm in the top 16 in the world," she said.

16:11 (-8 GMT): Bronze medallist in the 5000m speed skating Ivan Skobrev of Russia has been paying tribute to champion Sven Kramer.
He said: "I have said it 100 times already, Sven [Kramer] is the best kid ever. I actually asked Sven if I could train with him and he said no.
"Sven is the best skater in the world but in the next Olympic Games in Russia I will do my best to beat him."
