KEEP REFRESHING FOR REGULAR UPDATES FROM VANCOUVER
23:10 (-8 GMT): And that's the end of the live action on day 12 in Vancouver. But be sure to join us tomorrow where David Murdoch's winner-takes-all tie-break clash tops the bill for the Brits
23:02 (-8 GMT): And it's all over at Canada Hockey Place - Miroslav Satan's devilish goal (sorry, couldn't resist) has confrimed a 4-3 victory for Slovakia over 4-3
22:15 (-8 GMT): Hockey update for you now - Norway have closed the gap on Slovakia to 3-2, it's in the second period there
Remember, the winner earns the right to face defending champions Sweden in the last eight
22:00 (-8 GMT): The action is over at the Vancouver Olympic Centre and the women's semi-final line-up has been decided - Canada's Cheryl Bernard will face Switzerland's Mirjam Ott while Sweden's Anette Norberg takes on China's Bingu Wang
21:46 (-8 GMT): Meanwhile the first period at Canada Hockey Place is nearing a conclusion and it's 3-1 to Slovakia
21:35 (-8 GMT): Heart-break for Latvia - they pull it back to 2-2 with just less than four minutes on the clock but an overtime goal David Krejci seals the Czech Republic's place in the last eight
21:14 (-8 GMT): The final ice hockey match of the day is also underway - it's 0-0 between Slovakia and Norway but still early days at Canada Hockey Place
21:12 (-8 GMT): A curling update now and Canada's Cheryl Bernard looks set to continue her fine form and is 6-3 up over Russia's Anna Sidorova while Anette Norberg is 8-6 up on Germany's Andrea Schoepp and Denmark lead Japan 7-4
21:09 (-8 GMT): Latvia have pulled a goal back and it's 2-1 to the Czech Republic - they have eight minutes to save themselves!
20:59 (-8 GMT): So it's Kim Yu-Na with a commanding lead in Vancouver - the gold medal is hers to lose
20:55 (-8 GMT): Disappointing from Miki Ado - she only amasses 64.76 and is in fourth, well off the pace
20:40 (-8 GMT): So with just Miki Ado the only remaining skater capable of troubling the top three, Kim Yu-Na leads from Mao Asado while Joannie Rochette is third
20:37 (-8 GMT): And at the Vancouver Olympic Centre, in the women's curling, the last round of matches are underway but the semi finalists have already been decided
20:33 (-8 GMT): Over at the UBC Thunderbird Arena, the Czech Republic are 2-0 up over Latvia in the battle to see who faces Finland in the quarter finals
20:32 (-8 GMT): Joannie Rochette is in third place after amassing 71.36 points
20:20 (-8 GMT): It's now time for Joannie Rochette of Canada. To her immense credit she has decided to perform despite the tragic news of her mother's death on Saturday night - she's going to get an enormous round of applause
She gets a standing ovation after a fantastic routine comes to a teary conclusion
20:05 (-8 GMT): Anything you can do I can do better, says Kim Yu Na - she shatters her world record with 78.50 points - Unbelievable!
19:48 (-8 GMT):The big guns over at the Pacific Coliseum now and 2--8 world champion Mao Asada piles the pressure onto red-hot favourite Kim Yu-Na with a flawless performance to score 73.38 - MASSIVE
19:29 (-8 GMT): Great Britain's Nicola Minichiello and Gillian Cooke are struggling in tenth place but the current world champions are not giving up hope of gold just yet - read more here
19:13 (-8 GMT): Yet another track record for Canadian duo Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse who now lead at the halfway stage of the competition
18:55 (-8 GMT): NEW TRACK RECORD again. USA 2 - Erin Pac and Elana Meyers go into the lead.
18:54 (-8 GMT): Defending champion Sandra Kiriasis is below-par there, she slips behind Canada's Helen Upperton who set a new track record of 53.12 seconds with her second run.
18:53 (-8 GMT): Elene Gedevanishvili has just stepped up the standard in the figure skating - nice triple toe loop, triple toe loop.
18:52 (-8 GMT): Looks like Team Canada let off some steam against Germany's ice hockey team. The hosts progress to a quarter-final clash with Russia after an 8-2 win.
18:46 (-8 GMT): That's the end of group 3 of the women's figure skating. Some classy performers in the fourth group but USA's Mirai Nagasu leads the way at the moment on 63.76.
18:43 (-8 GMT): USA 3 are up in the bob.
18:41 (-8 GMT): That's a shame for Canada's Cynthia Phaneuf - she fell on a step sequence and will lose a point for that.
She landed the jumps fine. She's shaking her head as she skates off the ice. Came from nowhere that.
18:39 (-8 GMT): Minichiello and Cooke aren't as quick as Walker and Thomas but go first. They've got some work to do tomorrow that's for sure. Still, GB in 1 and 2 at the moment. Probably last about a minute and a half.
18:32 (-8 GMT): 43.82 isn't enough to qualify. And it means Spain's Sonia Lafuente goes through.
Great Britain's Paula Walker and Kelly Thomas lead the women's bobsleigh at the minute! 12 still to go though in the second run.
18:29 (-8 GMT): Not great from the Slovenian but it looks like she tried her best and that's all you can do Teodora. May not qualify for the free skate with that effort.
18:25 (-8 GMT): 46.10 is a season's best for Pieman - it wasn't very difficult and she hadn't competed much this season.
Teodora Postic is next on the ice and it looks like she's still wearing her nighty! Another one who forgot their costume!
18:21 (-8 GMT): Another contender for best name of the Games - Belgium's Isabelle Pieman. She's doing well in the figure skating as well.
Couple of lovely jumps - she's very tall and not quite as flexible as some of the smaller girls.
18:19 (-8 GMT): Canada are comfortably winning against Germany. They're 5-1 up in the ice hockey quarter final play off.
18:17 (-8 GMT): Nice performance from USA's Mirai Nagasu - well done. Ooh, her nose is bleeding.
63.76 - comfortably a season's best. Big smile. Big score. She's top.
18:08 (-8 GMT): Carlo Janka won Switzerland's second alpine skiing gold of the Games in the men's giant slalom earlier today - read what he had to say for hiself here.
Great Britain's challenge in the giant slalom was less succesful, but the British lads are putting a brave face on it.
Meanwhile, another British skier, Andrew Musgrave, admitted he was targetting 2022 rather than 2014 for his best Olympic challenge in the cross country discipline.
17:56 (-8 GMT); Another resurfacing ahead of the third group of six at the women's ice skating.
The women's bobsleigh second run starts in about 15 minutes at the Whistler Sliding Centre.
Great Britain's world champion Nicola Minichiello is more than half a second off the pace in tenth.
17:47 (-8 GMT): Not what Jenna will have wanted there. She had a heavy fall coming out of the triple lutz - it was a little too close to the wall - and looked a little heavy throughout. Her build-up has been massively disrupted by illness though.
Judges - 40.64. She's second-bottom after that and she won't qualify for the free skate. So disappointing but I've no doubt she'll be back for Sochi.

17:41 (-8 GMT): Korea's Min-Jung Kwak is TINY! She's 16-year old (might have something to do with it) but she's done okay there in her first Olympics. Let's see how well she does. Not as good as Makarova.
17:35 (-8 GMT): Russia's Ksenia Makarova stepped the competition up a little bit there. Very impressive considering she's only 17. Should do well with that.
DOES do well! 59.22 takes the lead by more than seven points and you can see why.
17:28 (-8 GMT): Turkey's Tugba Karademir is in the kiss and cry after her routine - probably not as good as Lee's.
17:27 (-8 GMT): Apparently I spelt the last British competitor's name wrong - it's Minichiello - I knew that didn't sound right.
GB 2 are away! Come on Paula Walker ![]()
17:21 (-8 GMT):
Nicola Minicheddars is up. Not a great start though. And not a great middle or finish either unfortunately.
They place ninth after ten - 0.66 seconds off Humphries. But they didn't crash.
17:17 (-8 GMT): Switzerland's Sabina Hufner goes last - she's the first person not to break 54 seconds. USA's third pair is up, Bree Schaaf and Emily Azevedo.
Yan Liu has just started her short program in the ice skating. She's from China.
17:14 (-8 GMT): USA's second pair Erin Pac and Elana Mayers nearly went top there! But they slowed at the end to go third - 0.09 seconds behind Humphries.
Germany's third pair Claudia Schramm has just gone within Rohbuck's time - the American must be asking herself why she took it so safe!
17:12 (-8 GMT): Big news today was Dutchman Sven Kramer's disqualification from the men's 10,000m after he had smashed the Olympic record.
He's blaming his coach (and frankly, has just cause) - read his reaction here.
17:11 (-8 GMT);
Great Britain's Jenna McCorkell is in the second group of the women's figure skating.
17:09 (-8 GMT): USA's Shauna Rohbock won the practice event in Whistler in last year's World Cup - she's more than half a second off the pace though.
Cheltzie Lee goes top of the women's figure skating with a season's best of 52.16.
17:06 (-8 GMT): Germany's Cathleen Martini was leading but lost it towards the end. She's 0.09 seconds behind Humphries.
Good performance from Lee. She lands her elements - they weren't difficult, but she lands them.
17:03 (-8 GMT): It's 1-0 Canada in their quarter final play-off in the men's ice hockey. Goal from Joe Thornton in the first period.
Track record of 53.19 from Canada's Kaillie Humphries.
In the women's ice dance competition, Australia's Cheltzie Lee is up. Spain's Sonia Lafuente is the early leader on 49.74.
17:01 (-8 GMT): The women's bobsleigh is about to start. And it's started!
53.41 seconds for defending champion Sandra Kiriasis of Germany. That's a good start for her although she very nearly rolled at one point.
