THE penultimate day of the 2010 Winter Olympics saw Canada become the most successful Winter Olympic host nation in history as three more victories took their gold medal tally to 13.
Canadian skip Kevin Martin continued his perfect form on the curling rink and chalked up his 11th victory out of 11 matches to down Thomas Ulsrud of Noray and clinch gold.
Jasey Jay Anderson also captured snowboarding parallel giant slalom gold at Cypress Mountain while the Canadian trio of Denny Morrison, Mathieu Giroux and Lucas Makowsky claimed speed skating team pursuit gold.
Meanwhile, Finland left it late to comeback against Slovakia to claim ice hockey bronze while all eyes in Canada turn to Sunday's gold medal match showdown between the hosts and the USA.
