The 26-year-old from Northern Ireland re-wrote the history books on Thursday, by setting a new record for being fastest to the Barrier (2089 feet) in 2:04 minutes, beating rival Mahe Drysdale of New Zealand's previous record.
And Campbell, who finished fifth at the Beijing Olympics, produced the goods once more to overcome Dave Mannion of Ireland by two lengths.
In the Silver Goblets, GB pair Andy Triggs-Hodge and Peter Reed continued their march towards the final as they comfortably saw off Iain Cowell and Iain Edmondson by a length.
But Munich World Cup gold medallists Eric Murray and Hamish Bond of New Zealand are also in fine form as they easily saw off Brits Alex Holden-Smith and Peter Randolph.
And South African duo Ramon Di Clemente and Shaun Keeling are also strong contenders, having eased their way into the last four with a three-and-a-half lengths victory.
