Goodison and Thompson have share of lead at World Championships
GREAT Britain's Paul Goodison and Nick Thompson share the lead with the Croatia's Tonci Stipanovic after day one of the Laser World Championships in Halifax, Canada.

SHARE OF THE LEAD: Paul Goodison is one of three sailors to top the leader board at the Laser World Championships after day one
All three picked up just four points in ideal conditions in Margaret's Bay, with the USA's Clayton Johnson on five points and defending champion Tom Slingsby of Australia down in seventh.
Goodison, the current Olympic champion, is going in search of the one major title to have eluded him to date, having captured his fifth consecutive European title last month.
The 31-year-old is also unbeaten in the ISAF World Cup series, having won all three events he has entered in France, Holland and Germany, but it is Thompson who leads the series.
There were four general recalls in the first race - and at least four gear failures. One failure happened to Goodison, however he recovered strongly by taking second in the second race.
The Jury awarded him redress with a two-point score for race one, leaving him tied with Stipanovic and Thompson on four points.
