British shooters off target at ISSF World Cup
GREAT Britain's Georgina Gelkie finished well down the field in the women's 10m pistol as China's Guo Wenjun took gold at the ISSF World Cup in Milan.
Gelkie, who will also compete in the 25m event, finished a distant 67th out of 74 in qualifying.
Elsewhere, Switzerland's Lukas Grunder won the men's 10m air pistol as Great Britain's Mick Gault - a 13-time Commonwealth champion - placed 43rd and team-mate Iqbal Ubhl 48th.
Grunder, only 19, fired a world junior record to win his first-ever World Cup medal.
Elsewhere, another teenager, China's He Zhaohui, won his second consecutive World Cup medal in the 50m rifle three positions while Great Britain's Jon Hammond, Ken Parr and Neil Stirton failed to figure.
