Having won bronze in Vancouver, the Norwegian team of Anders Bardal, Roar Ljoekelsoey, Tom Hilde and Anders Jacobsen went two better by topping the podium in Finland.

Bardal helped his team to victory with a points score of 127.3 and despite Hilde's more disappointing total of 109.3, the Scandinavians finished with a total of 486.6 points.

Austria, who were crowned Olympic champions in Canada, were missing the ill Gregor Schlierenzauer and could only claim silver with Wolfgang Loitzl, Martin Koch, Andreas Kolfer and Thomas Morgenstein combining to reach 483.6 points.

While Olympic silver medallists Germany captured bronze with 457.7 points courtesy of Michael Uhrmann, Martin Schmidt, Andreas Wank and Michael Neumayer.

The event was decided by a single jumping round because of strong winds at the Finnish venue.
