Ammann became the first Swiss ski jumper to win the World Cup crystal globe with his victory in Lillehammer on Friday and made it nine victories for the season on Sunday in Norway.

Jumps of 135.5m and 124.5m gave the 28-year old 267.7 points as he finished nine points ahead of Poland's Adam Malysz, who won silver twice behind Ammann in Vancouver.

Andreas Kofler from Austria took bronze after jumps of 139.5m and 116m while Austrian prodigy Gregor Schlierenzauer maintained his second place in the overall standings despite finishing 12th.

Ammann finished the season on 1649 points ahead of Austrian pair Schlierenzauer on 1368 and Thomas Morgenstern on 944.

Next up for the jumpers are the World Ski-Flying Championships in Planica, Slovenia from March 20 to 22.
