FINLAND'S Harri Olli has claimed his first ever ski jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf, bringing to an end Gregor Schlierenzauer's stretch of six wins on the trot.

The 24-year-old posted the longest jump of the day, soaring to 225.5 metres in the first heat, and followed that up with 216m in the second for a total of 435.8 points.

Norway's Anders Jacobsen had jumps of 218m and 212.5m for 428.6 points in second place.

And compatriot Johan Evensen had the second longest jump of the day, in the second heat, at 223.5m to add to the 211.5m he jumped in the first. He collected bronze with 426.5 points.

Switzerland's Simon Ammann was fourth while Austria's Schlierenzauer, who has been unbeatable in recent weeks, could only manage jumps of 205.5m and 198.5m - good enough for eighth.

Schlierenzauer still has a comfortable lead over Ammann in World Cup standings.
