The 26-year-old world silver medallist disappointed at the Vancouver Winter Olympics last month, advancing to the final in first place, only to finish eighth as compatriot Torah Bright topped the podium.
But Crawford has since been in dominant form, scooping victory in the final two World Cups of the season in Valmalenco and La Molina to finish third in the overall standings.
Chinese duo Xuetong Cai and Zhifeng Sun had already confirmed themselves in first and second respectively and opted against competing in both Italy and Spain, as did Bright.
In La Molina, Canada's Mercedes Nicoll finished second and while she earned 800 points, she could not prevent Crawford leapfrogging her into third place in the rankings.
Meanwhile, in the men's event, Norway's Fredrik Austbo collected his first ever World Cup victory ahead of Christophe Schmidt of Germany while Canada's Justin Lamoureux was third and Great Britain's Ben Kilner was seventh.
All three Vancouver medallists, including champion Shaun White of the USA, were absent ensuring Lamoureux's bronze was good enough to seal the World Cup title.
